Introduction to Pastor

Rev. Dr. Emanuel Khokhar

Pastor Emanuel Khokhar was born into a Roman Catholic Christian family in Pakistan and grew up as a nominal Christian. After completing his university education, he joined the Pakistan Army's General Headquarters and served for 13 years. After receiving a most powerful call from the Lord Jesus, he decided to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. So, he resigned and joined the Gujranwala Seminary in Gujranwala, Pakistan, for proper training and theological education. After completing his Master of Divinity program in March 2000, he joined the Diocese of Peshawar, Pakistan, and began serving the Lord Jesus Christ in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan under the supervision of Bishop Cecil Williams. As an ordained minister, he served at St. John's Cathedral, Peshawar, and was the pastor of St. Thomas Church D.I. Khan Cantt, St. John's Church D.I. Khan City, Tank Hospital Church, and Christ Church Wana City, South Waziristan. In February 2003, he was granted adequate leave by the Diocese of Peshawar, Pakistan, for higher theological education studies and received a Master of Divinity in Missiology from the Asian Union Theological College in South Korea. In 2004, he attended the Canterbury Scholars Program in Canterbury, England, and earned a Ph.D. in Christian Education in the U.S. and an advanced leadership course in the U.S. After earning a Ph.D. in Missiology from the International Theological Seminary in South Korea, he returned to Pakistan and tried to join his own church under his academic leave. However, due to the poor political situation in the church in Peshawar, Pakistan, he began his ministry in August 2008 in a very small church founded by a Korean pastor. In February 2009, he was appointed bishop of the church. In June 2009, he founded Lord's Bible College & Seminary in Islamabad, Pakistan, and started the first Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry programs in Pakistan.
